National Hotel Re-Opens to Tenants
In June 2021, a fire that started below the National Hotel resulted in the displacement of all residents. After extensive repairs and clearance of all necessary inspections, THC is excited to welcome back tenants of the National Hotel and to open its doors to new Continuum of Care residents!
Vincent Hotel Sign Restored
The Vincent Hotel’s neon blade sign has been successfully restored, giving the block of Turk Street from Hyde to Larkin a vibrant glow. The restoration was made possible by the SF Shines program and Neon Works.
Dodge Alley Block Parties
The Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) and partners such as THC’s Central City SRO Collaborative are enlivening the Tenderloin community with monthly block parties in a neglected alleyway (Dodge Place). All are welcome to enjoy food, games, music, and community!
HSH Budget Supports Higher Wages
The 2022-2023 Fiscal Year budget approved for the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), THC’s primary funder, supports wage increases for many of THC’s frontline employees.
