The National Hotel was acquired by THC in April 2017 and is the product of a partnership with the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. The National Hotel is home to those who have previously faced chronic homelessness. The National Hotel offers 91 units of permanent supportive housing to San Francisco residents in critical need.
Since its acquisition, the National Hotel has undergone many major renovations. Additions to the hotel include upgraded common bathrooms, new tile in the hallways and a new laundry facility. There is 24-hour desk clerk staff as well as an on-site Supportive Housing Manager and Case Manager. THC continues to maintain and upgrade the National Hotel to ensure residents have an affordable place to live that supports their overall well-being.
Located on Market Street, across from Civic Center and UN Plaza and steps from the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco City Hall, San Francisco Public Library, and the Orpheum Theatre, the National Hotel is surrounded by many of San Francisco’s popular cultural attractions.
